1. Introduction

Set up password protection provides an added layer of security to your webstore. When password protection is enabled, it will trigger a prompt asking for a username and password to gain entry. Therefore, customers will be requested to sign in or sign up which is beneficial for you to keep your webstore secure and private.

2. Setting Up Password Protected Access

Step 1: Go to Apps > Websrore > Password Protected Access, and enable the Status.

Step 2: Enable ‘Allow User Registration’ if you want customers to register an account at your webstore.
Disabling Allow User Registration will only allow existing customers with accounts to log in to your webstore. New customers are unable to register an account for themselves.

Congratulations! Password Protected Access is successfully installed on your SiteGiant Webstore.
