How To Set Up Free Checkout Payment Method

1. Introduction

Free Checkout feature in e-commerce refers to the ability for customers to complete a purchase or transaction without being charged any money. This feature is often used in specific scenarios where businesses want to offer products or services at no cost to the customer.


2. Set Up Free Checkout

Step 1: Navigate to Settings on the sidebar menu > Payments.

Step 2: Click on + Add Payment Method button > select Free Checkout Add Payment Method.

Step 3: Fill in the Display Name that will display in the Payment Method during the checkout process.

Step 4: In the Note section, you can add additional remarks or notes to be displayed to the customer during the checkout process > update Customer Group > click Add.

📌Note: This payment method will apply to all Customer Groups if no Customer Groups are selected.

Step 5: Make sure the Free Checkout payment status is enabled for it to appear on your checkout page.


3. Checkout Via Free Checkout (From Customer Perspective)

Step 1: You are highly recommended to try checkout on your Webstore to ensure the payment method is working as expected.

📌Note: When free checkout is applied, other payment methods will not be displayed during the checkout process.

Step 2: The Payment Information will be shown again on this page after the customer clicks Place Order.
