How To Set Pickup From Store Shipping Method

1. Introduction

This feature allows your customers to place orders online and collect them from their preferred store. By providing a connected shopping experience across all your online and offline channels, you can encourage customers to buy your product anytime, anywhere, at their convenience.

This feature is only available in SiteGiant OMO Pro Plan and above.


2. Set Up Webstore Pickup Locations

Step 1: Navigate to Settings > Shippings.

Step 2: Scroll down to the Webstore Pickup Locations section > click on the + Add Pickup Location button.

Step 3: Under Store Name, select a store created from the Store Locator.

Step 4: The business hour will be showing based on your store settings from Store Locator, you may edit it if the time available for pickup is different from the business hour.

Step 5: Select the date that is unavailable for pickup service > set the preparation time for the order to be ready for pickup > set the time slot for the pickup durations.

Scenario:
Based on the example above, the Prepare Time is set as 1 day. Let's say the customer checkout the cart on 23-08-2023 at 2.00 pm, and you need 1 day to prepare the order. When the customer selects the Pickup Date, the earliest time they are able to choose would be on 24-08-2023 at 2.00 pm onwards.

The Time Slot is set as 30 minutes. When the customer selects the Pickup Time, it would be a 30-minute interval, such as 2.00 pm, 2.30 pm, 3.00 pm, 3.30 pm and so on.

Step 6: Choose whether to allow the Cash On Delivery (COD) payment method. If yes, you can disable other payment methods and restrict the minimum and maximum amount to use COD. Set a Pickup Service Fee if you wish to charge customers on an order basis.

Step 7: Once done setting, click on the Add button on the top right. Make sure the status of the store is Enabled.


3. Place Order Using Pickup From Store (From Customer Perspective)

Step 1: At the checkout process, the customers can click the Change button to select the Shipping Method > select Self Pickup > select pickup location, pickup date and time > Confirm.

Step 2: Proceed to payment and the order is successfully placed. On the order confirmed page, the customers will get the Pickup Code and also the Pickup Info.

Step 3: Upon placing an order with pickup from store, customers will receive an order confirmation email with the pickup code and info.

Step 4: For login customers, they can also go to My Order > click into the Order ID to retrieve the Pickup QR Code and Pickup Info.


4. Fulfill Pickup From Store Order

Step 1: Navigate to Orders > All Orders > click on the filter button.

Step 2: Filter Delivery Method as Pickup > Apply.

Step 3: All of the pickup orders will be shown.

Step 4: Click on the Order Processing button to go to the Order Processing page.

Step 5: Click on More (…) > Shipping Label Settings to configure Pickup From Store Shipping Label.

Step 6: Select Webstore and others tab > Shipping Label Template > Pickup From Store > configure the information that you wish to show in the Shipping Label > Save.

Step 7: Back to the Order Processing page, go to Pickup > Pending > select the order(s) > Move to To Print.

Step 8: The order will move to To Process > To Print tab > select the order(s) again > you can choose to Print Pick List (optional) and Bulk Print to print the Shipping Label.

📌Note: By default, it will print out 2 copies of Order Delivery, 1 copy of Packing List and Invoice.

Step 9: The order will move to the Printed tab. When the order is ready to be picked up by the customer, select the order(s) > click on the Move to Pending Pickup button.

Step 10: Go to Pending Pickup > click on Order ID to enter the Order Details page.

Step 11: Click on More Actions > Mark As Processed to change the order status to Processed.

Step 12: From the login customer’s view, the order will move to the Processed tab with Ready to Pickup status.


5. Verify Pickup

When it is the pickup date and time, the customer will come to pick up their order. There are 2 ways to verify the pickup: Verify by QR code (need to have a scanner) or Verify by Pickup Code.

Step 1: For Verify by QR Code, go to the Order Processing page > Pending Pickup > click on the Verify by QR Code button on the top right.

Step 2: Scan the QR code from the customer to verify the order.

📌Note: You will need to have a scanner to scan the QR code.

Step 3: For Verify by Pickup Code, you may get the Order ID from the customer and search in Order Processing. Click on the Verify Pickup on the order.

Step 4: Insert the Pickup Code or scan the QR code from the customer to verify the order.

Step 5: Once verification is successful, you may click on Verify Parcel to make sure the correct parcel is being picked.

Step 6: Scan or insert the Order ID from the printed Shipping Label attached to the parcel > Verify. If the Order ID is matched, it will show a successful message.

Step 7: You may pass the parcel to the customer. Click on the Mark As Completed button to complete the order.

Step 8: Check the box if you wish to notify the customer of order completion > click on the Deliver And Complete Order button and the order status will change to Completed. The completed order will then move to Shipped.
