3. How The Auto Upgrade Membership Tier Works
1. Introduction
Membership tiers mean creating different groupings to classify the members. Instead of just collecting loyalty points indefinitely, members will receive a loyalty status that makes them feel more acknowledged and invested in your webstore. Moreover, you can create different loyalty points earning and redemption formulas for different tiers.
2. Add Membership Tier
Step 1: Navigate to Customers > Points & Membership > scroll down to Memberships > click on + Add Membership Tier

Step 2: Fill in the Tier Name > set the membership period whether lifetime or with expiry

📌Note: The expiry period can be set as 3 months, 6 months or 12 months
Step 3: Customize the membership tier card image > you may also switch to customize image

Step 4: Set the Cumulative total spends that customers needed to spend to upgrade the tier

Step 5: Set the rules for the Auto extension if enabled

📌Note: If the Auto extension status is OFF, the membership will be directly terminated when expired
Scenario 1:
1 Jan 2023 - Customer A upgraded to the Bronze tier and the membership will expire in 6 months.
5 May 2023 - Customer A placed and paid MYR 200 for an order.
1 Jun 2023 - Supposed the membership would be expired on this date. But customer A spent more than MYR 100 in the last 100 days, thus membership is auto-renewed.
Step 6: Set the rules for the Auto downgrade if enabled

📌Note: If the Auto downgrade status is ON, the membership will downgrade to the tier set instead of terminate when expired
Step 7: Set the points the member of this tier can earn and redeem

3. How The Auto Upgrade Membership Tier Works
Step 1: Navigate to Customers from the dashboard menu > click on the Customer Name

Step 2: Edit the Customer Profile

Step 3: Set the Membership Tier to the base tier of the membership > Save

Step 4: The customer can then spend and accumulate the spending to upgrade to the next membership tier level
Example Scenario:

Customer A was in the Member membership tier (the base tier). Customer A placed and paid MYR 400 for the order. Customer A will auto-upgrade to the Bronze membership tier as the cumulative total spend reaches MYR 250. On the next purchase, Customer A placed and paid MYR 200. Customer A will auto-upgrade to the Gold membership tier as the cumulative total spending reaches MYR 600.
