Wave Shipment will categorize and assign the order into multiple waves based on your settings. You can now save your time without the need to filter your order manually for daily order processing. Your fulfillment process will be as easy as arrange shipment, generate wave, and create pick list for the warehouse.
2. Set Up Wave Template
Step 1: Go to Orders > All Orders > Order Processing > To Process > Wave Shipment > Settings > Add Wave Template.
Wave Type
There are 5 different wave types available. Case scenarios for each wave type have been provided below as reference for setting up your wave template.
Pick List Automation
You can enable the Auto Create Pick List option to allow system to automatically create pick list for each wave generated.
⚠️Important: Before enabling this option, please ensure that the Prefix Setting for pick list name has been configured in your Smart Fulfillment Setting page.

1. Pick List Mode: Choose the appropriate pick list mode for the pick list that will be created from the wave generated from this wave template.
2. Picker: Select all / certain pickers to be automatically assigned to the pick list created.
3. Sorter: Select all / certain sorters to be automatically assigned to the pick list created.
Wave Template Settings
Below are all the available settings, sorting, filtering, and grouping options that you may encounter when setting up a new wave template.
📌Note: The available wave template settings may differ for each wave type due to their differing nature.
1. Apply For: Choose whether this wave template will be applied for Marketplaces or Webstore and others orders, or both.
2. Number of orders per wave: Fill in the minimum and maximum number of orders that can be included in the wave generated.
3. Number of SKU per order: Fill in the minimum and maximum number of SKU/item allowed in orders for them to be included in the wave generated.
4. Quantity of product per order: Fill in the minimum and maximum quantity of product allowed in orders for them to be included in the wave generated.
5. Sort By: Choose to sort the wave generated by product quantity, number of orders, rack sort order, or rack name.
6. Filter by Order Weight (KG): Filter for order weight within a given weight range.
7. Filter by Comment: Filter for order with / without comment.
8. Filter by Rack Group: Filter for order with item assigned to rack group.
9. Filter by Rack: Filter for order with item assigned to rack.
10. Filter by Parent iSKU: Filter for order with item assigned with Parent iSKU.
11. Filter by iSKU: Filter for order by item iSKU.
12: Filter by Kit: Filter for order by kit iSKU.
📌Note: Before using Filter by Kit, need to ensure that the Split kit into individual items checkbox is not enabled in the Shipping Label Settings.
13: iSKU & Quantity: Fill in the specific iSKU and its quantity to filter for order that meets both criteria.
14. Group by Parent iSKU: Enable this to group order into the same wave based on Parent iSKU. Disable this to limit each order to only one SKU.
15. Group by: Choose whether to group order into the same wave based on Marketplace or Store. By default, this will be set to None.
16. Group by Courier Service: Enable this to group wave generated based on order courier service.
individual courier wave - order with the selected courier service will be grouped into waves separated by different courier services.
combined courier wave - order with the selected courier service will be grouped into the same waves.
Case Scenarios
📖 Case Scenario1: Hot Selling Item
You have identified your hot-selling item is phone case (iSKU: PhoneCase123) that contribute to 50% of your total sales.
By applying the wave template setting below, you can easily group together all the orders containing only that single SKU into the same wave so that your picker and packer can focus on fulfilling them together quickly. Each order shall also be grouped into the same wave based on their courier service.

📖 Case Scenario 2: Item with Variants
You are selling fashion products, and most of them come in S, M, L, XL sizes and multiple colours. You have grouped all the iSKUs of each variant under separate Parent iSKUs. You can set it to only create wave when there are at least 5 orders under the same Parent iSKU.
By applying the wave template setting below, orders containing only items from the same Parent iSKU will be grouped into the same wave.

📖 Case Scenario 3: Bundle Deal Item Order
From time to time, you may have bundle deal offer for your customers when they purchase specific items at certain quantities. For example, the bundle deal offer will only apply when customer purchase for an item (iSKU: Bundle Deal Item) at x5 quantity.
By applying the wave template setting below, you can filter out those orders containing your bundle deal items for your picker and packer to prioritize on fulfilling them first before proceeding with other orders.

📖 Case Scenario 4: Single Item Order / Same Parent SKU Order
While single-item orders with the same SKU are grouped into one wave, you can also group single-item orders with different SKUs into another wave. Additionally, orders containing multiple SKUs under the same parent SKU can be included too.
By applying the wave template setting below, these orders can be grouped together for more efficient fulfillment, as they contain only single SKUs or variants of the same product.

📖 Case Scenario 5: Multiple SKUs Order
After separating out the hot-selling items or any targeted iSKU / Parent iSKU / Kit iSKU items into other waves, you are now trying to group the remaining orders with multiple SKUs into the same wave.
Provided that you have assigned racks to all your items and all the racks have been assigned into rack groups, you can pick all the SKUs along a smooth route to ease the picking process.
By applying the wave template setting below, all your mixed SKUs orders will either be sorted based on their assigned racks or filtered based on the selected racks.

Step 2: Set up the Wave Template > Choose Wave Type > Configure Settings > Save.
Wave Template Listing
After saving your wave template, it will appear in the wave template listing.
Step 3: You may drag and sort your wave template sequence to control its priority.
Step 4: Wave template that is currently not in use can also be deactivated by disabling its status.
As a general rule of thumb, wave templates that filter for specific items should be given higher priority than those that apply to broader or more general order types.
3. Picker Sorter Absence
If you are using the Auto Create Pick List function for your waves, then you may mark down the absence period of your picker or sorter, so that they can be excluded from being assigned to any wave generated during that period.
Step 1: In your Wave Template Listing page> click … > Picker Sorter Absence.
Step 2: Click Add Absence > select Picker / Sorter and Absence Period > Save.
Step 3: The added absence will then be shown in the Picker Sorter Absence listing.
